We're currently hiring for the following positions:
Stable hand: Work includes feeding, watering, turn-out/turn-in, stall cleaning for approximately 10 horses. Some horse work may be available including hand walking, lunging and grooming depending on the individual. There will be general barn cleaning and light maintenance as well as outside tasks such as mowing, weeding, trimming especially in the summer months. Must have reliable transportation, ability to work independently, and experience handling horses. Starting March/April 2018.
Morning shift is 7:30am-noon and includes morning feeding, stall cleaning and turn-out. Afternoon shift is 4:30-6:00pm and includes turn-in and feeding. Several weekday and weekend shifts available. $11.00 per hour.
Groundskeeper/Farm hand: This part-time, summer position will share responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, lawn care, landscaping, trail maintenance, gardening/weeding, fencing, the use of hand tools and power tools, the operation of small engines and diesel farm equipment, as well as assisting the Caretaker with general labor in order to maintain the 125 acre property. This position will work almost exclusively outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions, and both under direct and indirect supervision. Some barn help and horse care may be required, and horse experience is certainly beneficial, but not mandatory. Hours can be scheduled for flexibility, but at least 20 hours scheduled per week, with possibility of more during busy weeks. Applicant must possess valid drivers license.
